Gatsby- Nick's POV Journal Entry

I feel as if Gatsby only used me to get to Daisy. It was clear to me that as soon as things were going well between them at their meeting at our houses, he forgot all about my presence. I also think that Tom is a total scumbag. He punched his mistress when she said Daisy's name. I understand that he might've been angry, but he did not have to punch her. I realize that my suspicions about Gatsby might've been right. He had Jordan tell me about the meeting so that he wouldn't have to do it. If he had done it, his intentions would've been perfectly clear. He knew that I would've been able to see that he was only using me. As soon as she mentioned it, that realization popped into my head.
