Propaganda and fallacies

Propaganda mad fallacies deliberately spread information to help their cause. They want you to think a certain way about things, a way that they decide on. Companies or groups that use propaganda and fallacies only present information that will help convince you to support something, and hold back on the information that will turn you against it.

Testimonial- He's a big time chef in the community
Ad populum- He says that he doesnt know many facts but that he knows people are struggling and having a hard time.
Olympic Athletes: Overcoming Setbacks-
Transfer- Olympic athletes used as symbol of overcoming certain setbacks
Red Herring- Not talking about the oil spill
Fred Lemond-
Plain Folks- Talking about us as Americans.
Observational Selection- Showing happy people smiling near the ocean.
States Commercial-
Glittering Generalities- saying things like "even better" and "come back" "an even better year."
Bandwagon- Saying that everyone is going toward the Gulf and that it's "the place to be."
